Grackle Day Committee plan Yard Decorating Contest The Chamber's Grackle Day Committee is planning an American Pride Yard Decorat- ing Contest. And Mother Na- ture, while a little slow this year, is bringing Spring to town with temperatures in the 50s and even 60s for a few days in the coming week. The theme this year is Salutes Our Hometown Military Heroes. and city residents are asked to show their American pride by decorating their yard. The winner of the best decorated yard will be an- nounced a the variety show. Please have your yard decorated by Thursday, April 3rd. 2014 Senior Expo-- Exotic Extravaganza Calling all Senior Citizens! The Sibley County Sr. Expo com- mittee has planned an exciting day just for you! Mark your cal- endars for Tuesday, April 22nd and join the fun at the Arlington Community Center for the 2014 Sr. Expo. The day will begin with muffins, coffee & juice being served at 9 asn. Local providers will have informational booths on display. Local crafters will have their wares available throughout the day. Anyone interested in set- ting up a croft/hobby sales booth can contact the Sibley County Ex- tension Office at 507-237-4100. There is no charge to have a craft booth. Christian Lilienthal and his exotic animals will be the featured aftemoon guest speaker sharing a collection of his animals and his world travels. A raised bed gar- dening session will be provided by Sibley County Master Garden- ers and The Hoopsters will per- form in the morning too! There will be a short exercise session., Dinner music will be provided by, The Best of the Wurst. A meal will be served at noon and the day's events will conclude at 2:15,, pan.
